Den värdiga avslutningen på en pentalogi om världens (nåja, Englands) utveckling under 2000 år, eller i alla fall vilken roll Merlin spelat … avslutas elegant.

Det här är en bra djuplodande bok som innehåller allt som en bra Merlinskildring behöver…. I boken binds stoff från tidigare delar samman. Vyerna vidgas och innehåller även världsdelar som Afrika och Asien. Vi befinner oss dock till stora delar av handlingen i ett framtida London. Det förekommer likaså blinkningar till nutidshistoria och de mörka sidor som världen möter i dagsläget skådar.
